Users must be logged in to access the resources on the portal.

• Clicking on the Login menu item takes you to a page with a login form, or if you are already logged in, it shows the logout option, which redirects to the login screen once you click on ‘Logout’.
• On the Account page, approved, logged in users can update their information at any time.
• Users click on Account to see a summary of their own account and click on ‘Edit’ to access a current version of their subscription form, allowing them to update any of their details, including the services to which they subscribe.
• When a user who has not subscribed, or whose registration has not been approved, clicks on Account, the user will see an on-screen message that their account is pending approval, and visitors are instructed to subscribe.
• Users who change their passwords receive an email to confirm the change was made by them.
• The page includes two call-to-action blocks, namely, Search and Directory.
• If you are not logged in and you click on Account, they are redirected to a message “Once your subscription is approved you will be able to access and edit your profile here, with two calls-to-action (i.e., Search and Directory) below the message.

There are three search options on the portal for finding resources to manage Non-Revenue Water, namely:

1. Custom Search: Customise your search of the portal by specifying the keywords, categories, or authors you are looking for
2. Toolkit Search: Find pre-packaged toolkits that list materials for the various stages on Non-Revenue Water management, and leak management for private property owners
3. Overview Search: View a summary of all available information per category, and download a list of all materials on the NRW portal
