Every drop of water counts. Yet municipalities lose billions of rand in treated water each year. The Water Research Commission developed eight training modules to help you build practical skills to manage water losses more effectively. The training is online, practical, and easy to complete at your own pace. Completing it successfully will earn you CPD points.

Gauteng has limited natural water resources and therefore relies on a very large and highly engineered system called the Integrated Vaal River System (IVRS) which draws water from five different river basins across six provinces.

Guidelines for Pressure Management

This document includes the results from eight pressure management pilot projects undertaken in South Africa, using the PRESMAC Pressure Management Program which has been developed for the South African Water Research Commission.

Municipal Water Demand Management Balanced Scorecard Model

Balanced Scorecards have been used for many years to assess and monitor complex situations which involve a wide range of functions, many of which cannot be assessed or quantified in a normal manner. It is ideally suited to multi-disciplinary activities such as the operation and management of a water utility.
